• This class has been developed to incorporate several learning styles into the learning of chemistry. We will be using inquiry, cooperative based learning, inference, and synthesizing topics of chemistry that include atoms and their structure, types of compounds, and types of reactions. the units we will cover throughout this class are matter, the periodic Table, Compounds, Chemical Reactions and Equations, kinetic Theory, Bonding, Chemical Quantities, Acids and Bases, and Organic Chemistry.

        Projects In This Class
     
    Elemental Group Project : Each student will be presented with an elemental group. Students will research this group and determine how this elemental group effects the environment around us. Students will have to synthesize and evaluate these concepts to make a projection into the future about how the environment will be effected. A research paper of 3 to 5 pages will be required along with a power point presentation that will be presented to the class.
