The Beirut Veterans of America

The Beirut Veterans of America is pleased to once again announce scholarship applications are now being accepted.  Any high school senior, college or trade school student planning on attending any college or trade-school in the Fall of 2022 may apply for a $1,000 scholarship. The online application may be found at https://www.beirutveterans.org/scholarship.

Three $1,000 scholarships were awarded in 2020, and two in 2021. The 2021 recipients’ stories may be found athttps://www.beirutveterans.org/bva-scholarship-winners.

The Beirut Veterans of America is 501(c)3 not for profit corporation that promotes remembering those US service personnel who served in or around Beirut, Lebanon as Peacekeepers, or in other humanitarian role, since 1958; specifically, those who paid the ultimate sacrifice while doing so. On October 23, 1983 alone, 220 Marines, 18 Sailors and 3 Soldiers perished when the Marine Barracks was attacked by a suicide bomber, an act of cowardice often seen as the first major catastrophe of the modern terrorist era.  More than 30 others would lose their lives in this first battle against terrorism during that period, with others perishing before and since.

ABODO Heart My School Scholarship

Deadline: February 28 & October 31

Criteria: $500
Write a brief essay (maybe 500-1000 words) about what makes your school, the campus and the surrounding neighborhoods so awesome. Include a few pictures for bonus points. Then submit your essay along with links to any photos you'd like to submit in the form above. We’ll be announcing the winner on Facebook and Twitter. The American Graphic Institute Design Thinking scholarship

Deadline(s): December 31st & July 31st

Criteria: $1,000 Scholarship

• Must be enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited two or four year college or university located in the United States for the Design Thinking Scholarship. This can be any accredited college or university, and it is not limited to students of American Graphics Institute.
• One scholarship application per person may be submitted during each scholarship period.
• The scholarship winner must be a legal resident of the United States or hold a valid student visa.
• A completed scholarship application form must be submitted.
• Scholarship winners are decided exclusively by the scholarship committee at American Graphics Institute. Scholarship winners are contacted two weeks following the submission deadline, in mid-January and mid-September of each year.

Criteria:

• Business school candidates who are interested must submit the BusinessStudent.com application and an original essay.

• The criteria considered for selection of these scholarships in the written essay is your ability to write a strong answer.  This answer will directly respond to the essay question.  You must be able to provide insights based upon facts to support your answer.
